Wetlands Christmas Weekend

Fun for the whole family, our hugely popular Christmas weekends will have a range of activities for everyone to enjoy. Hop aboard a husky sleigh ride, help the elves make special gifts for Christmas and go wild in our indoor and outdoor play areas.

Christmas activities are included in general admission to the centre. Book online to save to 10%.

Husky Sleigh Rides*

Children will be thrilled to hop aboard for a festive husky sleigh ride through the beautiful wetland scenery. They are sure to fall in love the friendly husky dogs, which pull their sleds barking joyfully.

10am– 4pm. Free with paid admission. Suitable for younger children ages 2-8.

Elves Workshop

The Elves are a little behind schedule this year and they need help to ensure there are enough presents in time for Christmas! Drop into their workshop throughout the day to help them prepare and to make your own Christmas gifts.

10am– 4pm. A small charge may apply for some crafts.

Face Painitng

Kids will love the chance to be transformed into a Christmas character or wetland creature. Choose from a range of designs to make your little one’s day extra special.

WWT Conservation Films

Sit back and relax in the H2O and learn about some of the incredible conservation projects that WWT has been involved in. Be inspired by the efforts of our dedicated scientists working to save some of the world’s rarest species including the tiny Spoon-billed Sandpiper and the Madagascan Pochard.

Drop into the cafe this winter and warm up with a hot drink and a range of homemade, festive food or browse of shop for Christmas gifts, decorations and more!
